When faced with discomfort, you can create a sense of optimism that things will get better and that you can deal with what is happening and feel happy again. Only you can do that, as it is truly an inside job.

Go with the flow, and take life as it comes. It is not productive to think that a difficult situation will define your future. Our lives are in a constant state of flux

Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes

We can decide to be happy by positively framing thoughts and having a more balanced look at life. How you define happiness is truly personal and unique. However, a common thread involves life satisfaction created by purpose and goals.

The ancient philosopher Aristotle suggested that happiness can be achieved through the “golden mean,” which involves finding a balance between deficiency and excess. Happiness is not a constant state of euphoria. Rather, happiness is experiencing emotions that are more positive than negative.

Gratitude

Positive emotion involves being thankful and appreciative. Focus on appreciating the things you have and all of life’s blessings. A sense of purpose involves having goals, direction, and meaning. It may help improve happiness by promoting healthier behaviors. Doing things for others is a powerful tool in creating happiness. Create contentment by performing charitable acts or simply preparing a meal for a friend.

Get Regular Exercise

Numerous studies have shown that regular exercise may help make people happier. Exercise raises positive emotions and leads to better health and longevity. It is good for both your body and mind and is linked to a range of physical and psychological benefits, including improved mood.
